New Student Registration
For the 2016-2017 School Year

Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) is implementing an Online Registration System–a system that will allow parents to safely
and efficiently complete much of the paperwork required for school registration.

Registration Hours: 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM Monday through Friday

If parents are unsure which school their child will attend, they can call the Planning Department at 678-301-7085.

 

STEP 1:
To complete the registration process for your student, you MUST have an active email account.

STEP 2:
Before starting the online registration process, you will need the following information. Please click here for the Parent Checklist.

STEP 3:
Please complete the required Online Enrollment Form for all new students you are registering. Click here to access the Online Enrollment Form.

If you are enrolling a new Kindergartener, the child must be 5 years old by September 1, 2016.

Please Note: This DOES NOT complete the registration process. Please continue with the steps below.

 

STEP 4:
Bring in the required documentation (Spanish) to the school. Please be aware that your child will not be entered into our student database and assigned a teacher until ALL required documents are received. If possible, please make copies ahead of time.

STEP 5:
Please click the link below for your child's School Supply List. These items will be needed for the 2016-2017 school year.

 

 
STEP 6:
Please click here to find out about daily meal prices, how to set up an online lunch account, and how to apply for free/reduced lunch.
If applicable, please return the "School Meal Information Form" to your local school. Free and Reduced applications will be available July 1st for all students.

STEP 7:
Kindergarten Parents can complete this step on Orientation Day in August once students have been entered into our Student Information System.

Please create a MyPaymentsPlus account to pay student cafeteria balances, set up pre-payments for breakfast/lunch, and receive low balance e-mail reminders.

The MyPaymentsPlus website will be available for the 2016-2017 school year by the end of July. Please contact the school if you need assistance.


 
STEP 8:
Please review the Ferguson Student/Parent Handbook and the GCPS Student/Parent Handbook.
You may save a copy of these documents to your computer for future reference.

2016-2017 Student/Parent Handbooks will be posted as soon as they become available.
 
Other Forms and Resources:
Medical Forms
Some health conditions may require that additional documentation be kept on file at your local school.
Please complete any forms that pertain to your child and return them to your school.
Residency Affidavit
Fill out if you are not on the lease of the home in which you live.
Immunizations
By state law, a valid certificate of immunization (Form #3231) or a notarized statement of religious exemption is
required for enrollment.
Alternate Transportation Form
Fill out if your child will be taking a GCPS bus to another place other than your listed address (example: babysitter's house, grandparent's house, etc...).
